Hopefully the next few events wont drag so long since I am waiting for the bantering between Qing Yi, Yue Chan's clone and forcing, I mean convincing her to marry Shi Hao

Sadly Willow Deity and Little Pagado will be leaving the lower realm to enter the Primordial Gates in order to look for the Treasury and to prevent others from seeking it. The Treasury is sought after by many experts from the upper realm, it is said to hold another piece of the secret method that Shi Hao already has, will you see them again? Yeah, the reunion is rather touching but a wee bit short. In the novel, it was the parents who narrated the sequence of events that took place but I actually prefer this version where the dad thinks that it’s pointless to explain and justify the past. There’s no use crying over spilt milk.

Little Pagoda, the Divine Striking Stone and SH somehow make the perfect trio together! Just love their brazen and shameless behaviour!Gonna miss Little Pagoda and of course Willow Deity! It’s such a pity that the author decided to remove them so early on. I could imagine Little Pagoda would click well with fatty, the rabbit and the ant later on. To those who are curious, SH’s best friends are mostly non-human creatures. They love him and no surprise there — he goes to the ends of the universe for them!

Yeah they did change the events around a little, but for the most part it hasnt affected the storyline like some donghua that shall remain unnamed

mhm those thieving trios are funny when they are together in a treasury vault lol but it is also good to see that Shi Hao was thinking of replenishing the Stone Empire's treasury as well by using the Immortal Mountain's treasury lol

I am waiting for the part that Little Rabbit sees him for the first time and he was considering eating her and the most important part where she overhears Shi Hao and Qing Yi "sparring" sex and Striking Stone's explanation lol

Thought that was a good moment too but his brother is still a pain in the rear. The rock and pagoda have really big appetites when it comes to eating the treasures that even the MC almost missed out.

mhm it was funny the way the two of them were fighting over taking the treasures, leaving Shi Hao to ponder about the True Primordial Record,until he realised that he is missing out and joins them lol

did you get a chance to see 'everlasting god of sword'? I thought it looked pretty good and there is also an anime version of it too.

I havent had the chance, been busy at work, I looked it up and it seems to be an "alternate" to the same series that was released with 52 episodes already? So I am not sure if we have to watch that one first or that is a side story that is 26 episodes

YOUKU animation has a combined video of episodes 1-38 on youtube which is 5 hours long. From looking at the first couple of minutes of it, it looks like it's the same as the new one currently being aired. So, it's just an updated remake of that show.

there are two versions of that. The anime is on youtube channel Origin Animation and comprises of season 1 episode 1 to 35 in a 3 hour video. It also has episodes 1-10 in the remade version too.

I can't say his irritating, just that he is obstinate about him being better than the MC due to the brainwashing he went through to make him think that his better. Also, considering that their parents finally meet Hao again after so long and asked him to take care of his brother, you can see they want them to get along. However, the younger brother still can't hold back and makes it about him being stronger than Hao in the future.

“Hao” frustrating it must be for the lil’ man to hear his parents calling someone else other than him Hao! 😝 I’d not be so pleased myself if I were in his shoes!

But yeah, he’s arrogant and obstinate! He’s even worse in the novel. To top it up, he clearly ignores the fact that his parents are being imprisoned there while he runs around freely himself and somehow being smug that he was treated like a genius of the century by those elders.

But I came to understand that some of this anime I have actually watched the drama cause I preferred Chinese drama before I just got into the anime lately got hooked after watching soul land

Glad I found a buddy here who appreciates Shi Hao! He’s my new fav MC!

Before reading the Perfect World novel, Tang San was my ultimate favourite but now Soul Land has gone downhill (it deviated so much from the original essence of the story), SH with his anti-hero characteristics stands out as one of the more unique MCs in the “righteous” Chinese cultivation world!

Your comment on Quanzhi Gaoshuo is kind of like a coin toss because even though that anime was really good, I know there were some people couldn't get behind the language barrier due to being used to the sound of Japanese voices. On top of that there was an issue with poor subs on the other Chinese anime/donghua's and complaints about the animation which put people off.

I will admit though that Quanzhi Gaoshuo did get a lot of attention because it's how gaming competition anime's should be.

If you like battle through the heavens, I would recommend checking out Wu dong qian kun. It's in the same universe as battle through heavens but in different worlds, though they will kinda connect in another work of the author called "The Great Ruler". Season 1 start a bit slow but it's a good watch. 3 seasons out.

Swallowed star is another high quality 3d chinese anime with good fights. Slow start in the first few episodes but only gets better. Ongoing 2nd season.

The King's Avatar is another good one, and a classic for chinese anime imo. Good story and good fights. This is in 2d and season 1 was made quite a while ago so the animation might be slightly worse (though some prefer the season 1 animation when it comes to characters), it's still good. 2 seasons and short 3 ep ova in-between seasons.

A will eternal is another 2d anime. As far as the novel goes, it's among those with very good critique. The only complaint i have about this one is that the subs available (at least from when i watched it) doesn't do the show justice. Good anime but lacking good eng subs (season 1 might have better subs by now tho). Ongoing 2nd season.

Other ones I haven't watched but seems to have good quality animations:

Throne of seal, The land of miracles, Fanren xiu xianchuan (animation too realistic for my taste).

The Great Ruler is apparently going to have a remake from the same studio as BTTH, but this time in 3D, supposed to be coming out this year or early next

There were big changes in the drama, so much I would say they shouldn't even call it wu dong qian kun anymore xD. The anime follows the novel pretty well. If you watched the drama before the anime, be prepared for big changes :).

Maybe it’s because I’m not a forgiving person but I think he should have just forgotten his little brother and push him to the side with a big “fuck you”… yep, just my thoughts thou.

What I didn’t get is SH mother and father are having another child….I thought they might have lost will to live since they are caged and not able to see their first child who lost supreme bone and suffering …. Instead they are having another kid that doesn’t look like they are suffering
